Who kills Darth Vader? Was Anakin the chosen one?

In Star Wars, Anakin is the only child found by Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn who fits the prophecy of being able to balance the galaxy. This is because his birth was legendary (he had no father and his mother conceived and gave birth to him alone).

We all know that Anakin started working for the slaver Votu at the age of three, and if it hadn't come about by accident, none of us would have known how amazingly talented he was until he met Queen Padme and Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn.

He was nine years old at the time and met Padme, the most beautiful angel he had ever seen. He told Padme that he was a pilot and that one day he would leave Tatooine in a ship, but what he didn't know was that day had already come. Why did Anakin for become a Sith apprentice? Is Anakin really the Chosen One of the prophecy? Let's discover the truth of the story.

Why did Anakin become a Sith apprentice? Anakin's prophetic dream

In Star Wars, the prophecy of the Chosen One does not have a detailed source of dissemination, and it might have originated from the Jedi Temple. However, the prophecy is not complete, just like Anakin's prophetic dream. It only knew that his mother was suffering but did not specify the exact location. It knew that Padmé would die during childbirth but did not mention that it was because Anakin's death deprived her of the hope of survival. Just as the prophecy stated, Anakin was the Chosen One, but it did not say that he must be a Jedi Knight.

It was Qui-Gon Jinn who discovered the Chosen One. On Tatooine, Qui-Gon Jinn found that Anakin seemed to be an embodiment of the Force, radiating powerful Force fluctuations. Through questioning Shmi Skywalker, he learned that Anakin's birth was miraculous and matched the description in the prophecy. He reported this to the Council.

When some in the Jedi Council believed Anakin was the Chosen One, Palpatine already knew. Long before, Palpatine had been secretly working to upset the balance of the galaxy, quietly expanding the dark side's influence and using the Trade Federation to invade Naboo.

On the surface, he criticized the inaction of the Chancellor Finis Valorum through the tragic situation of Naboo, gained the trust of Naboo, and demanded a vote of no confidence in the leadership of the Republic. Chancellor Finis Valorum was voted out of office, and Palpatine was immediately nominated as a candidate for the successor and successfully elected as the Chancellor through the election.

Palpatine orchestrates a play where he himself is kidnapped by Count Dooku through the conflict between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Galaxies (led by Count Dooku), and the young Anakin is given the Speaker's trust. On the other hand, Anakin desperately wants to go it alone and become a member of the Council of Elders unencumbered by his Master, and the Council of Elders, because of the darkness that exists in Anakin's heart (they are concerned that Anakin's powerful Force powers will be used in the wrong way), votes to reject Anakin's proposal to become a member of the Council. At this point in time Palpatine granted Anakin the power to sit above the Council of Elders, intensifying the conflict between Anakin and the Jedi Council of Elders.

Anakin was controlled by fear and power and became Darth Vader.

Anakin's blue Jedi lightsaber was replaced with a red Sith lightsaber.

How many lightsabers did Anakin use during his time as a Jedi apprentice, and the answer is three.

The first lightsaber: In Star Wars: Attack of the Clones, Anakin, while attempting to rescue Obi-Wan, mistakenly entered a droid factory. In the factory, Anakin's right hand, which held the lightsaber, was bound by droid parts (as if foreshadowing the right hand that would later be severed by Count Dooku), and his lightsaber was cut off by a mechanical arm.

The second lightsaber: In the Colosseum, Obi-Wan, Anakin and Padmé, who had just emerged victorious, were surrounded by droids. Fortunately, the Jedi Council arrived in time to save the day and brought weapons - lightsabers. Just as the battle seemed to be going in their favor, the high-ranking officials of the Confederacy of Independent Systems (led by Count Dooku) managed to break through the encirclement. Obi-Wan and Anakin pursued Count Dooku. During the fierce battle, Obi-Wan was injured and fainted. Anakin fought with Dooku using Obi-Wan's lightsaber. First, his green lightsaber was cut off, and then his right hand holding the lightsaber was severed. Even Yoda, Dooku's Jedi master, was unable to stop him from leaving.

Third Lightsaber: Anakin, under the influence of fear and power, gets involved in the battle between Windu and Palpatine. Becomes Darth Vader while Obi-Wan fights on the lava-filled planet Mustafar to stop Anakin from continuing to work for Palpatine, and Anakin ends up with an arm and leg chopped off by Obi-Wan, taking Anakin's blue lightsaber. It ended up buried in the Tatooine desert.

Red lightsaber: After Anakin fell to the dark side, he forged a new lightsaber on Mustafar. He took a kyber crystal from the ruins of the Jedi Temple and, through the Sith "Bleeding" ritual, steeped it in hatred and pain, transforming it from ice blue to dark red. This symbolized his transformation from Jedi Anakin to Sith Darth Vader.

Why did Obi-Wan disappear when Darth Vader knocked him down?

Nearly two decades after the Clone Wars ended, the Galactic Empire consolidated its power under the autocratic rule of Emperor Palpatine and built the superweapon "Death Star" capable of destroying planets. The Rebel Alliance was dedicated to overthrowing the Empire's tyranny. Princess Leia, as the leader of the rebels, secretly obtained the design blueprint of the Death Star.

Princess Leia's starship, the Tantive IV, was intercepted by Darth Vader. She stored the plans in the memory of the droid R2-D2 and sent a distress message to the reclusive Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi. R2-D2 and the protocol droid C-3PO landed on the desert planet Tatooine in an escape pod.

A gang of Jawas on Tatooine captured R2 and 3PO and sold them to Owen Lars, Beru Lars and their nephew Luke Skywalker. Luke Skywalker, a farm boy on Tatooine, accidentally got R2-D2 and found Princess Leia's holographic message while repairing it. R2-D2 insisted on finding Obi-Wan, which led to Luke and C-3PO being attacked by Sand People during the pursuit and being rescued by Obi-Wan, who had raised Luke. Obi-Wan told Luke that his father was a Jedi Knight but was killed by Vader.

To rescue Princess Leia, Obi-Wan and Luke hired the smuggler Han Solo and his partner Chewbacca, and boarded the Millennium Falcon to head for Alderaan. On the way, they found that Alderaan had been destroyed by the Death Star and turned into a wasteland. When the ship was attempting to escape, it was captured by the Death Star's tractor beam and forced to land on the Death Star.

On the Death Star, Luke, Han and Chewbacca devised a plan to infiltrate the Imperial base and rescue Princess Leia. Just as they were about to escape with Leia, they encountered Darth Vader. Obi-Wan engaged in a thrilling lightsaber duel with Darth Vader. Despite Obi-Wan being a Jedi Master with superb swordsmanship, Darth Vader, empowered by the dark side, was exceptionally powerful. During the battle, Obi-Wan realized that if he continued to fight Darth Vader, it would not only endanger Princess Leia and their escape plan, but also put himself in great danger. So, he made a heroic decision: to sacrifice himself and become a Force Ghost, thereby distracting Darth Vader's attention and buying time for Luke and the others to escape.

Obi-Wan's sacrifice provides Luke, Leia, Han & Chewbacca with valuable time to successfully escape the Death Star. The Righteous analyze the Death Star's design drawings and discover a hole in its defenses - a heat vent that leads straight to the reactor. The Boxers send a formation of X-wing fighters to attack, with Luke joining the battle as a pilot. Guided by the spirit of Obi-Wan, Luke uses his Force senses to precisely fire a proton torpedo to hit the heat vent and destroy the Death Star. Grand Moff Tarkin, Governor of the Superior Sector, dies with the Death Star, and Darth Vader escapes in time to survive.

Did Darth Vader know that Luke was his son?

In Star Wars: A New Hope, Darth Vader's attention was all on Obi-Wan. He hated Obi-Wan for betraying him. Under the guidance of Master Yoda, Obi-Wan learned the way to become a spirit and sacrificed himself resolutely, buying precious time for Luke and the others to escape. After eliminating Obi-Wan, Darth Vader saw his own shadow in Luke, the pilot.

Three years had passed since the destruction of the Death Star. Darth Vader dispatched tens of millions of probes and reconnaissance droids throughout the galaxy in search of the rebels and Luke. Eventually, on the ice-covered planet Hoth, he detected the existence of Echo Base.
Vader immediately gathered a large number of Imperial troops to prepare for an attack on Hoth.

Luke, who was on patrol, spotted a "meteor" (which was actually an Imperial probe droid). As he was about to investigate it further, he was attacked by a wampa ice beast. The clever Luke managed to escape using the Force, but eventually got lost in the icy wilderness and passed out. In his unconscious state, Luke seemed to see Obi-Wan, who was guiding him. Han Solo, who had gone out to look for Luke, found him injured and unconscious on his patrol route.

After Darth Vader's invasion of Echo Base, the Rebel members inside were putting up a fierce resistance. Fortunately, the return of Luke and Han Solo changed the dire situation. Luke and his team rescued the hostages inside the base. Han Solo, Princess Leia, Chewbacca and C-3PO were forced to board the Millennium Falcon and hastily escape from Hoth. Luke, with R2-D2, piloted an X-wing starfighter and left the main force, heading for Dagobah.

Under Obi-Wan's guidance, Luke found the reclusive Master Yoda and began his training. Sensing danger to his friends, Luke went to Bespin to rescue Solo and Leia. Luke and R2 arrived at Cloud City. He engaged in a lightsaber duel with Vader, who cut off Luke's right hand and pushed him to the brink of death. Finally, Vader revealed to Luke that he was his father. Desperate, Luke jumped into the abyss but fortunately landed on the weather vane at the bottom of Cloud City. Leia sensed Luke's call faintly and instructed Chewbacca to return to Cloud City to rescue him.

Did Vader stop Luke from killing Palpatine? Who is the Chosen One?

Luke Skywalker learned that Han Solo was imprisoned on the Death Star II by Darth Vader. To rescue his friend and destroy the Death Star, he decided to go to the Death Star II. Darth Vader took advantage of this and deliberately let Luke know where Han Solo was, luring him to the Death Star II.

On his way to the Death Star II, Luke encountered numerous difficulties. However, with his unwavering belief and powerful Force, he successfully reached his destination. On the Death Star II, Luke engaged in a thrilling lightsaber duel with Darth Vader.

Palpatine also sensed Luke's power and tortured him with Force lightning, attempting to lure him to the dark side. Witnessing Luke on the verge of death, Vader's inner light side awoke. He threw the Emperor into the abyss and sacrificed himself to save his son, ultimately returning to the Force as Anakin Skywalker.

The End: The Rekindling of Light and the Collapse of the Empire

Dual Battlefields

  • Space Battlefield: Lando piloted the Millennium Falcon, along with pilots like Wedge Antilles, to destroy the core of the Death Star, putting an end to the Empire's superweapon.
  • Ground battle: The Ewoks cooperated with the Rebel Alliance, using traps and guerrilla tactics to defeat the Imperial garrison and successfully destroy the shield generator.

A symbol of new hope

  • At the celebratory feast of the Battle of Endor, Luke witnesses the Jedi spirits of Obi-Wan, Yoda, and Anakin, symbolizing the continuation of the Jedi spirit.
  • All over the galaxy, people celebrated the death of the Emperor and the founding of the New Republic.

The disintegration of the empire

After the death of the Sith Emperor, the Empire fell into warlordism: naval marshals killed each other over power struggles, and centralized power disintegrated. Example:

Danté Pita and Joseph Grenjer fought for control of Corellia and died together.

Regent Pestach was executed for abandoning a strategic location, and the empire was eventually taken over by "Coldheart" Drak Krennel.

Redemption and Legacy: Anakin accomplishes self-redemption by saving Luke, who becomes the beginning of the New Jedi Age. Anakin, who killed the Sith Emperor Palpatine, is deservedly the Chosen Son.
