The Sith Conspiracy: Boba Fett - The Dark Saga of the Clones

The Sith Conspiracy: Boba Fett - The Dark Saga of the Clones

1.The Clone Army Trade: The Origins of Boba Fett

The story of Boba Fett begins with a trade order. In the Star Wars story, when the crisis in the Republic was first apparent, Sefo Dias could foresee the possibility of the galaxy descending into war, and pondering a solution, Darth Plagueis (alias Hego Damask) suggested to Jedi Master Sefo Dias that he order an army of human-modelled clones from the Kaminoans in the name of the Jedi Order.

Sefo Dias agreed to the proposal, and since he did not go through the Jedi Order's approval, he made the deal with the Kaminoans privately, which he did not report to the Jedi Order. After the trade order was placed, Sefo Dias was killed by the Sith; so the Jedi Order had no knowledge of this until the clone army was exposed. And Boba Fett was born out of this conspiracy, so let's explore the story behind this conspiracy.

2. Palpatine's conspiracy plan to control the galaxy

Since Darth Plagueis does not appear in the Star Wars movies, we go with Palpatine's perspective, collectively known as the Sith Conspiracy.

The Sith induced the Jedi Master to place an order for a clone army with the Kaminoans (Kaminoan), and after the first step of the plan was completed, Jedi Master Seyfo Dias was silenced. The deletion of all Kaminoan-related records from the Jedi archives kept the clone army undetected by the Jedi organisation for a long time.

Jedi Master Sefo had applied to the Jedi Order and was not approved.

After completing his mission deployment, the Sith had been waiting for an opportunity (fortunately, opportunity always comes to those who are prepared). After Qui-Gon Jinn was killed by Darth Maul, that opportunity came. --If there's no opportunity, create one. (Obviously, it wasn't so much that Palpatine got lucky, it was all planned)

Before the start of the Great War, he used the Trade Federation to blockade and threaten Padmé Amidala's home planet, Naboo, by force, and after the end of the Great War, he used Padmé, who was a victim, to win the sympathy of the other Senators to make him Council President.

2.1 The Clones' Offensive Plan

Palpatine organized an army expansion meeting, and Padmé returned to the Galactic Republic. This meeting was mainly aimed at the threat of separatism and proposed a military bill. However, Padmé was attacked as soon as she arrived at the Galactic Republic, leading her to believe that there were ill-intentioned people within the Senate who exposed her whereabouts. From Padmé's expression as she walked to the Senate chamber, it was clear that she was full of suspicion towards Palpatine.

1. Background of the Bill

The separatist forces (led by Count Dooku) were constantly expanding in the galaxy, threatening the rule of the Republic. As the Chancellor of the Republic, Palpatine pushed for the Military Creation Act under the pretext of "responding to the separatist threat", advocating for the establishment of a standing military force directly controlled by the Republic (which later became the clone army).

2. Padmé's Opposition Stance

As a senator of Naboo, Padmé represented the faction in the galaxy that advocated for democracy and peace. She believed that:
The bill would make the Republic overly dependent on military force, going against democratic principles;
Establishing a standing army might lead to the concentration of power, laying the groundwork for dictatorship (she sensed that Palpatine might use this to consolidate his power);
The issue of separatism should be resolved through political negotiation rather than military expansion.

3. Palpatine's Manipulation Strategy

Palpatine, under the guise of "protecting the Republic's security," was actually secretly promoting the Sith's conspiracy:
He exploited the threat of separatism to create panic and persuade the Senate to support military expansion;
He attempted to pass the bill to bring the command of the clone army under his control, laying the groundwork for the subsequent "Order 66" to purge the Jedi;
He employed a combination of soft and hard tactics against opponents like Padmé, offering superficial reassurances while applying pressure.

After Padmé raised objections, the meeting was suspended. Palpatine then placed an assassination order, which was taken up by bounty hunters Zam Wesell and Boba Fett. Whether the assassination was successful or not, it would benefit Palpatine, as the military bill could be smoothly implemented either way.

2.2 The core motive of the assassination operation: removing political obstacles and intensifying conflicts

1. Direct objective: Eliminating Padmé's opposition voice

As a key opponent of the Military Creation Act, Padmé's influence in the Senate could lead to the failure of the bill. Palpatine needed to quickly dismantle the opposition camp through "physical elimination" to pave the way for the military bill.

2. The deeper purpose: Frame the separatists and push for the outbreak of war

Even if the assassination attempt failed, Palpatine could still frame the separatist forces (such as Count Dooku) for the incident, thereby proving that "the separatist threat is real" and forcing the Senate to support military expansion. This kind of "win-win" political maneuver is precisely the tactic often employed by the Sith.

2.3 The Exposure of the Clone Army

The Kaminoans spent ten years building the army (approximately 300,000 clone soldiers), while Palpatine deliberately delayed the Jedi Order's intervention - until the Separatist threat reached its peak, he exposed the clone army through Obi-Wan Kenobi's "accidental discovery". This designed time gap ensured that the Republic, facing the Separatist crisis, had a ready-made army at hand, thus providing a "necessity" endorsement for the Military Creation Act.

3. Who is Boba Fett?

Boba was born on the planet Kamino. He was an unaltered clone of the bounty hunter Jango Fett, whom Jango raised as his son. From a young age, Boba followed Jango to learn combat and various survival skills, growing up in the isolated city on Kamino.

The arrival of Obi-Wan

Obi-Wan Kenobi, a Jedi Knight, came to Kamino in pursuit of the bounty hunter who had assassinated Senator Padmé Amidala of Naboo. He revealed the existence of the clones to the Jedi Council. In Obi-Wan's suspicion, he clashed with Jango. Young Boba operated the laser cannons on the Slave I spaceship to suppress the Jedi Knight and help his father escape.

On the landing pad of Kamino City, Obi-Wan Kenobi engaged in a fierce battle with Jango Fett. Eventually, Fett and his son managed to escape in the Slave I. Obi-Wan knew he couldn't let them get away easily. He quickly boarded his Jedi starfighter and, relying on his powerful Force perception, locked onto the Slave I's course and pursued without hesitation.

The two sides engaged in a fierce chase battle in the asteroid belt around Geonosis. Jango used shockwave bombs, laser cannons and tracking missiles to attack, while Obi-Wan dodged multiple times with the Force and his piloting skills, and got rid of the missiles by jettisoning a spare parts canister. Eventually, Obi-Wan tracked Jango to the planet Geonosis, sneaked in and discovered that it was the headquarters of the Separatists. He also overheard a secret summit held by Count Dooku and learned of the conspiracy of various forces supporting the Separatists. He then prepared to pass on the intelligence to the Jedi Council.

On the Separatist secret base on Geonosis, Obi-Wan was discovered by Count Dooku while eavesdropping on a meeting. Facing this former Jedi Master who was now the leader of the Separatists, Obi-Wan was shocked and questioned him. Dooku responded with the reason that "the Republic was corrupt" and attacked with his sword. After a brief confrontation, Obi-Wan was surrounded and captured by the droid army.

Later, the Fett father and son went to the planet Geonosis. During the Battle of Geonosis, Jango was beheaded by Jedi Master Mace Windu. Boba, who witnessed his father's death, was deeply traumatized and harbored hatred for the Jedi Knights ever since.

3.1 Bounty Hunter Boba Fett

As a young man, Boba decided to follow in his father's footsteps and become a bounty hunter. He planned to take revenge on his father's killer, Mace Windu, but all his attempts ended in failure. During the Clone Wars, he grew up alongside other bounty hunters and honed his skills through numerous dangerous missions. Boba continuously improved his combat abilities and gradually gained recognition in the bounty hunter community.

Boba Fett, who has distinguished himself as a bounty hunter, confidently prepares to take revenge on Windu once again, only to learn of his tragic death.

After the Clone Wars ended and the Galactic Empire rose to power, Boba Fett's reputation grew ever louder, becoming one of the most feared bounty hunters in the galaxy. He wore Mandalorian armor equipped with a rocket pack, carried an EE-3 blaster rifle, flamethrowers installed in his gauntlets, a rope launcher, and rocket darts hidden in his kneepads, among other lethal weapons.

3.2 The collaboration between Boba Fett and Darth Vader

On the eve of the Battle of Hoth, Boba Fett was hired by Darth Vader to capture the crew of the Millennium Falcon alive. As a clone of Jango Fett, he had already gained a reputation throughout the galaxy for his Mandalorian armor, lethal weapons, and Slave I spaceship.

After arriving at the planet Hoth, Boba Fett piloted Slave I, equipped with military-grade jamming devices and twin blaster cannons, to search for his target amid the raging battle. When he spotted a ship that looked like the Millennium Falcon, he immediately gave chase. Along the way, he encountered Rebel fighters attempting to intercept him. Boba Fett skillfully used the jamming device to disrupt their targeting systems and precisely counterattacked with the twin blaster cannons, shooting down all the enemy aircraft.

Facing Han Solo's nimble evasions at the helm of the Millennium Falcon, Boba Fett successively deployed a tractor beam and fired concussion rockets. The two engaged in a fierce chase among canyons and icebergs. As the Empire gradually gained control of the situation, Boba Fett seized the opportunity, reactivated the tractor beam, and successfully captured the Millennium Falcon. He imprisoned Han Solo and the others in the prisoner cages of Slave I and then piloted the ship out of the Hoth system, heading for Tatooine to report to his employer Jabba and complete this thrilling pursuit mission, fulfilling the promise of a hefty bounty.

3.3 Unexpected Plunge: Boba Fett's Rocket Pack Horror

On Jabba's sail barge, Luke Skywalker led a rescue operation, and a chaotic battle was about to break out. Boba Fett, dressed in his iconic Mandalorian armor, moved through the hail of bullets with his superb combat skills. He skillfully handled his weapons and precisely counterattacked every enemy that came at him, attempting to defend Jabba's power and his bounty-hunting gains.

At this moment, Han Solo, who had just woken up from carbonite, was temporarily blind and blindly swung his vibro-ax in the dark to defend himself. Fate played a cruel joke on Boba Fett at this moment. Han Solo's vibro-ax accidentally hit Boba Fett's rocket pack, causing the control panel to malfunction instantly. The out-of-control rocket pack roared to life, and the powerful thrust pushed Boba Fett hard against the yacht's railing.

With a deafening crash, Boba Fett slammed into the ship's side, his armor cracking. Before he could struggle to his feet, he tumbled over the edge of the ship and into the vast chasm of Karkoon. Within the pit, the long-dormant monster Sarlacc opened its enormous maw and swallowed the legendary bounty hunter without mercy. Boba Fett, the man who once struck fear into the hearts of all the galaxy's powers, seemed to have ended his illustrious career in this accident, leaving behind only the stunned gazes of those on the battlefield and endless speculation about his fate.

3.4 The Road to Redemption: Boba's Bloody Rebirth on Tatooine

When Boba Fett fell into the Great Pit of Carkoon and was swallowed by the Sarlacc, it seemed that his life had come to an end. However, the way this monster digested its prey unexpectedly became his lifeline. Although the acidic digestive fluid of the Sarlacc was eroding his armor, it was also slowly breaking down the muscle fibers that trapped him. In the midst of pain and suffocation, Boba, with his indomitable will to survive, used his vibroblade to painstakingly carve out a path to freedom within the Sarlacc. When he emerged from the Sarlacc's maw, covered in blood and scars, the Tatooine desert before him had changed - his iconic Mandalorian armor had long been taken as a trophy by the wandering Jawas.

Without his armor, Boba was like a fierce beast deprived of its claws, weakly collapsing in the desert and discovered by the Tusken Raiders. These natives, whom he once regarded as prey, unexpectedly saved his life. During the days he spent with the Tusken people, Boba was forced to abandon his identity as a bounty hunter, hunting with them, building camps, and even participating in tribal battles. By the campfire in the desert night, he began to reflect on his bloody past: those days of killing for bounties, his father Jango's death, and his hatred for the Jedi. The simple yet tenacious survival philosophy of the Tusken people quietly changed his cold heart.

The gears of fate turned once more, and Boba Fett met the Mandalorian Din Djarin. At that time, Din Djarin had obtained Boba's armor from the Tatooine resident Cobb Vanth. Boba did not forcefully reclaim it but instead reached an agreement with Din Djarin: he would assist Din Djarin in repelling the remnants of the Empire and protecting the mysterious Grogu; in exchange, Din Djarin would return the armor and help him retrieve what was rightfully his. During this collaboration, Boba demonstrated tactical wisdom beyond his previous displays, using a sandstorm tactic to defeat the Imperial stormtroopers and earning Din Djarin's respect.

After the mission was over, Boba, with his new ally Finnick Shand, returned to Tatooine. They sneaked into Jabba's palace, killed the butler Bib Fortuna, and ended the rule of Jabba's remaining forces. Boba put on his recovered armor, sat on Jabba's former throne, and declared himself the new lord of Mos Espa. From a bounty hunter to being swallowed by Sarlacc, from an "outsider" in the Tusken tribe to the ruler of the desert city-state, Boba Fett completed a transformation full of blood and redemption, writing a new legend in the sands of Tatooine in his own way.
